NEW! Alumni Think Tank Conference |
|
The Alumni Think Tank Conference will gather 24 college graduates and 12 Graduate Support Professionals for a weekend conference in Washington, DC.
The NativityMiguel Network is pleased to announce the Alumni Think Tank Conference in partnership with Boys Hope Girls Hope and the O’Shaughnessy Foundation. This program is the next step in response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received from our alumni and school leaders after Backpack to Briefcase and Collegiate Prep Academy. The Alumni Think Tank Conference will gather 24 college graduates and 12 Graduate Support Professionals for a weekend conference to empower school staff and alumni to return to their communities prepared to build a local alumni association and also work regionally and nationally to create a NativityMiguel Alumni Network.
The Alumni Think Tank Conference will provide a reflective atmosphere in which alumni and staff can consider the following topics:
-The role that the Graduate Support Program plays during high school, college, and beyond
-What are the meaningful ways in which alumni can connect with each other locally, regionally, and nationally?
-What are the meaningful ways in which alumni can connect with their alma mater?
-How can alumni act as mentors to current middle school students and current alumni in high school or college?
-Advantages of creating a National Alumni Network
-How can an Alumni Network assist in practical matters such as employment, geographical relocation, etc.?
-Training alumni to return to their alma mater ready to organize an alumni association and/or alumni fundraising event
-Explore the idea of the “fraternal” aspect of our schools/alumni
